Choose an artwork effect
Choose animated GIF, depth, parallax, Ghost Rare, Neon or lenticular artwork. Version 1.4.0 adds ordered 2–8-image lenticular projects, PNG or colour-selection Neon masks, and controls for Metallic Flakes, Ink Flow, Impossible Window, Liquid Bottle and three-plane Parallax. Board outline changes still use the separate SVG2Deck workflow. Use artwork you created or may adapt.

Download the 1.4.0 standalone EXE or ZIP; the ZIP includes the app, 15 example decks and a matching core. Install SDEC separately and keep one current core enabled; Neon and multi-image lenticular decks require SDEC 1.2.0 or later. New exports contain deck content only. The older 1.1.0 instruction to retain a runtime FBMOD in the export folder describes that older tool, not this release.

Update the tool and installed core separately; an EXE update does not update game mods. Original two-image lenticular projects remain supported. Older packs that bundle shared shaders or compositors may conflict: follow the author’s SDEC conversion or re-export guidance and disable old bundled copies. Back up source projects and exports before migrating.

Neon bloom varies with game lighting and exposure and does not cast dynamic light on nearby objects. Gameplay shadows and banding remain limitations. Liquid thickness is a visual effect, not persistent fluid physics. The author reports automated, export and in-game example checks; those results do not guarantee every third-party shader combination. Test a small profile before distributing a pack.

The October 22 SDEC 1.2.0 package supplies native Neon and 2–8-image lenticular support, alongside animated, depth and parallax effects. Install it separately from exported deck artwork; no custom game DLL or separately equipped donor deck is required according to the package notes. Tool 1.4.0 also fixes effect-selector overlap and texture-header handling. Follow both release notes when updating older content.

Frequently asked questions
Does Deck Tool change the board’s physical shape?
It focuses on deck artwork and visual effects. SVG2Deck is a separate custom-shape workflow; its creator was still working on Deck Tool compatibility at this review.
Read the source ↗Does automatic updating also update my installed decks?
No. Tool 1.4.0 and SDEC 1.2.0 are separate updates. The EXE updater does not replace installed game mods. Install one current core separately and follow the creator’s conversion or re-export notes for older bundled-shader packs.
