Open the setup page on the game PC

Keep ReSkate running and type music setup in its console, or use the button under MUSIC → SOURCES. The local setup page is part of the running game. Opening its address on a phone or another PC will not control the game PC. If a new source row does not appear, restart the game once after setup.

Connect Spotify and check the account requirement

Spotify Premium is required for playback to the ReSkate device. With the game running, open Spotify on the same network and choose ReSkate from its device list. In game, select the Spotify row and tile. Optional personal-playlist tiles require the developer-app setup in the official guide; basic device playback does not require that extra step.

Local files and internet radio

Add a music folder on the setup page, then select it under Local Files in game. MP3, M4A, AAC, Ogg, FLAC and WAV are listed; use Rescan after adding files. For radio, search a station or add a direct MP3/AAC stream. Radio is live: there is no next/previous track, and HLS .m3u8 streams are unsupported.

External audio, Plex and YouTube Music

For External Audio, first play sound in the source app, then choose it on the setup page. Apps with Windows media controls can expose track information and playback buttons. The release also lists Plex account linking. YouTube Music uses an upstream setup tool and has service-terms and sign-in considerations; read the official source instructions before choosing that route.

Silent audio, missing rows and the page not responding

If Spotify is silent, type music in the console to inspect the device state and reselect ReSkate in Spotify. If a new row or playlist is missing, restart the game; rescan a local folder if its files changed. An unresponsive setup page can mean the game has closed. For radio failure, check whether the stream is HLS before changing unrelated game settings.

  1. Confirm the game is running on the PC where you opened the setup page.
  2. Select the intended source row and playlist in the game, not only on the setup page.
  3. For External Audio, make the app play sound before looking for it in the source list.
  4. Use the source’s own requirement and troubleshooting section; one account or playlist error does not establish a general audio failure.

RESKATE / ANSWERS

Frequently asked questions

Does a free Spotify account work?

The 2.1.1 setup guide requires Spotify Premium for the ReSkate playback device. A free account cannot use that playback route.

Can I open the setup page while the game is closed?

No. The local page only works on the game PC while ReSkate is running. Start the game and use music setup to open it.

Why is my music app absent from External Audio?

The official guide says only apps currently making sound appear. Start playback in the app, then select it on the setup page. Media-control support also determines which playback buttons are available.
