What Board Break needs before it can work
Board Break wears and snaps the deck after impacts; Road Rash adds marks to the skater. Each effect needs its corresponding optional official pack installed and enabled. The gameplay toggle and loaded content are separate checks. Turning on a command cannot create a missing deck pack.
- Use the supported skate. build and a matching ReSkate launcher/runtime. A feature being present in source is not proof that a mixed installation will work.
- Install the matching plugin and content from GET MODS, enable it in MY MODS and check PLUGINS. Road Rash is a separate optional package.
- Check the feature toggle separately from the mod’s enabled state. The code treats the gameplay option and installed deck content as different requirements.
Enable Board Break and inspect the installed decks
For stable 2.1.2, follow the installed plugin’s PLUGINS page and README. The commands below are a historical 2.1.1 reference: its built-in effect used Mod Options > Player and the boardbreak console commands. They have not been validated against current plugins.

The released diagnostic command can request a break at the nose, middle or tail. Its help text says the board remains broken until a mend or respawn, and a piece comes off while riding. These are descriptions of the source behavior, not a claim that this guide reproduced the effect. Use the mend command when you want to restore the board; disable the feature if you do not want it active.

Road Rash changes the skater, not the deck
Road Rash accumulates marks on the skater after bails and needs its own installed, enabled pack. Use roadrash 1 to enable it, roadrash heal to clear marks and the bail count, or roadrash 0 to disable it. The source also exposes roadrashblood and roadrashtattoos. These controls are separate from deck damage and Hall of Meat.

Board Break and Road Rash are plugin mods in 2.1.2. The first ships with its deck pack and the second with its item pack. GET MODS installs them, MY MODS manages them, and UPDATE ALL updates them. Existing installed packs remain installed; consult the plugin’s own settings and instructions.

Fourth Studio’s 2.6.2 update requires ReSkate 2.1.2 or later. The author fixes cosmetic packs being hidden merely because they include deck files, plugin startup exceeding ReSkate’s 50 ms limit, and spare deck pieces appearing above the board in replays. A mod that actually replaces the deck model still conflicts. Update Board Break Pack through GET MODS or MY MODS. Its showroom offers sixteen deck shapes under PLUGINS > Board Break > OPEN THE SHOWROOM, or Ctrl+B. Some older built-in behavior remains unavailable in the plugin, including wear changing handling and metal-break commands. Read the current package notes before using the historical commands above.

Why does the console say no Board Break deck is in the game?
Check that the Board Break plugin and its deck content are installed and enabled. In 2.1.2 use GET MODS, MY MODS and the plugin settings. The older boardbreak deck diagnostic belongs to the 2.1.1 command reference and is not a verified command for every plugin version.
